Kickoff borrel

We are bringing the CakePHP borrels back to life. Some may remember the fun from a few years ago during the get-togethers in Amsterdam or Utrecht
During this evening we can discuss what direction we would like to go with this Dutch CakePHP usergroup.

Demo/Talk

Cees-Jan Kiewiet will talk us through how to use websockets with CakePHP and Ratchet.

If you have questions about CakePHP internals, two core dev team members will be present during this evening to answer those.

Schedule

19:00: Welcome Drinks
19:30: "CakePHP and Ratchet" talk with demo

After the talk we can discuss ideas about the usergroup untill pizza arrives, then social, drinks and food.

A bit offtopic, but: Somebody told me about a hookup for mantis in git. Is there a link about that?

    February 14, 2013

    • Paul E.

It is a hook for subversion, but I'll check for git as well. I'll post it in the afternoon

Hey Arjan, sorry for the late response! I got the mantis hook just for subversion (as that is the current versioningsystem I use, as you know). Are you interested in the description how I set it up anyway?

I found a description for git as well. Only, this one just adds a comment, instead of having the ability to close the ticket as well: http://devnotcorp.wor...

Excellent! Not a big group, but for sure a group of interested people, making it a great come back of the CakePHP-NL Meetup.
I had plenty of fun and learned some nice things during Cees-Jan talk.

Nice people, nice beer, good pizza. I enjoyed myself! Learned a lot from others about how they do their programming and deployment.

Could not find this feature in the android app either, rating worked for me in the browser only

My wednesdays are already spoken for. I'd love to be at the first borrel though! I hope we can arrange another day for the other events.

Sure, nothing is set in stone. I think it would be nice have about 4-6 borrels a year, spread over the country. The nex one might be around your corner. Also anyone can put up a borrel on the schedule if they have a location available. Furthermore we can look into organizing hackaton and workshops days or even a mini dutch cakefest when the group gains some momentum.
