1030 AM – 1130 AM: Visit Mullik Ghat Flower Market, located directly under the Howrah Bridge. The market, which is open all hours of the day, is a lively scene of bright yellow and orange flowers. Vendors and porters continually walk and run up and down the market, auctioning off their stock, it makes a great place to take photos.
1130AM – 1200 PM: After browsing and observing the flower market, we can take a walk across the Howrah Bridge for great views of Kolkata, the Hooghly River, and the constant stream of people crossing the bridge while carrying giant loads.
1200PM – 130PM: Then we can take a public transport/cab to South Park Street Cemetery, quiet and peaceful decaying ancient cemetery, one of the spookiest places in Kolkata which is right off the busy Park street. The cemetery was set up in 1767 and includes around 1,600 tombs. If the weeping trees and the moss covered tombs aren’t already scary enough, the occasional squawk of a crow will make things a little freakier!
200PM – 245PM: We can stop over at any place in Park Street for Lunch
3PM – 530PM: After Lunch, we can go to either Indian Museum or Victoria Memorial Hall, or Both according to what the time permits (to see some fine piece of European and Mughal art).
6PM – 630PM: In the evening, before calling it a day, we can take a fun horse carriage ride from the gate of Victoria Memorial and trot around the large green patch of Maidan.
