What is your biggest geek passion?

I like to researching and sourcing products for people. I like offering my services to help people, esp. not profits. I would love to offer my technical services on a volunteer basis if there is lan party. Other geek passions are electronic design, which incidentally is the esthetic of random parts struin everywhere; taking things apart; and reading up on my linux distros and config.

If you're a game geek, what is your favourite video game console/platform?

I get addicted to games easily and time dissipates, so Ive not played much when I was running business. Out of the newer platforms: XBOX, Playstation 3, Wii, Kinect or PSP/Nintendo DS, I would have to pick XBOX although this option isn't based on graphics/video quallity. Call of Duty is pretty wack. At one point though both had issues with wireless access and Apples Time Machine. Wii has some merit to it's movement tracking system. If I picked older systems it would be Atari and Gameboy. I also like SkiFree, Atari Pong, pinball machines and PacMan arcade games.

If you like sci-fi/fantasy, name some of your favourite movies/shows.

Pretty much all of the sci-fi authors are brilliant. I never did like George Orwell Animal Farm or 1982 but he did bring up some fascinating subjects. I guess I can't pick "Lord of the Rings". I do not like "Harry Potter"..... Apparently everybody likes the movie Green Lantern (haven't watched it...). Super 8 is also suppose to be an excellent take.... I like James Cameron's Aliens and Avatar. I also like all of Pixar's movie's, How to Train a Dragon, Despicable Me, The Bourne Series, Taken, Italian Job, Fun with Dick and Jane, The Social Network, Easter Rising, all of Warren Millers ski movies and Take the Lead. Many, many more...

Who is your favourite geek?

MythBusters Team (Jamie), Survivor Man, and Dogg (on BountyHunter) for outside my friends circle Two bestfriends in Calgary Josh, second Steve. Both Aspies I met in the course of life. Newly initiated freindship with IT Manager for CMH. Partial to my business mentor and contractor.

Describe the types of meetups you want to and will go to.

Theater, Camping, Swimming, debating, informal/formal tech events, lan party's, etc...

Ive been with computers all my life. Ive liked science all my life. Scence kits, radio kits, mechano. I had a technology consulting business but on medical leave. Possible objective to foster interest in role, fantasy, & multi-player network games.
