Difficult Hike: Alymer's Lookout

A fantastic early season trail, meandering along Lake Minnewanka lakeshore before ascending a bunch to the lookout point. Too easy? Grab a heavy backpack and train your legs for some backpacking weekends! The views are pretty good, and with the forecast, it should be mostly snow-free.

Forecast has a high of 22oC for Banff tomorrow, with a small chance of light showers. Bring at least 3L of water. A sun hat is recommended to prevent heat exhaustion.

Also remember that this is a moderate to fast pace. Be prepared to keep up! See you all tomorrow at 9am!

    Hi Erika,

Is it important to this hike to have the Crampons or microspikes?
I was just wandering since M.E.C are not renting gear in the next few days.

It should not be necessary to have crampons and microspikes.
