My friend Pawel asked me to add this comment: "Pawel needs a ride from anywhere that is cycling distance from 5a St and 22nd Ave, right across from Cliff Bungalow Elementary. Give him a ring or text at[masked] if you can. He has no internet due to floods. He is so awesome with enormous D."

Hey Hung, Thought I would drop you a line about Sun. Don't know about how much travel time people are interested in doing but there is climbing down by Crowsnest pass. As far as I can tell the 22 is functioning and open (doubt the same can be said of anything going past the Casino on the transcanada or the 40). http://www.libertypages.com/chris/books/saguide1-50.pdf
Specifically look at pg 31, Blairmore riverside crag.
Lots of bolting done. Lots of variety of routes, just some short. If anyone wants an adventure day with some longer driving and uncertain crag discoveries I'd be open. I'm working the next two weekends so keen to climb. Another reason I'm interested is that I doubt I will ever, ever have a reason to climb down there since it is decent climbing (by reports) but will always lose out to the Bow Valley when the roads are open. Just an idea. No promises on conditions, roads, rock etc since there is not much info on that area right now. Jonathan

Hi. I've never been down there so don't want to be over eager about it. Hate to be the one to be responsible for a big group having a disappointing day. Myself and two friends are going to chance it. Probably meet at 7 and go down via the non flooded roads.

Just checking in with my super stokedness; I'm rip, roarin' and ready to go tomorrow! ...either to Hung's Barrier location or wherever Jonathan has in mind. I have very limited access to internet due to flooding, so please let me know about tomorrow (including any updates about meeting time and location) via cell phone:[masked]
(Texting is better than calling since I may not have reception all the time)

Also, since LRT is down, I can certainly still bike to Brentwood, but if anyone is driving by 17th Ave SW, or anywhere downtown, let me know! :)

    If roads open

The weather maps show it's won't be raining in the area we are in, and it is expected to be 20 tomorrow. Unfortunately #40 is closed, I will check tonight and tomorrow morning. If it doesn't open we can go to stronghold or the crux and do some climbing.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
