Easy Scramble - East End of Rundle

EEOR is the unofficial name of the east end of the 15km Mount Rundle massif.   Its short gain from Goats Creek trailhead and proximity to Canmore make it a popular objective.  Afterward, we can head to Canmore for a pint and a bite to eat :)

  • Hiking boots (mandatory)
  • Hiking poles
  • Proper seasonal wear (dress in layers)
  • Lunch and drinks
  • Sun glasses, SPF rated lip balm, sunscreen
  • No jeans, no cotton clothing of any kind!

Gear can be rented at MEC and UofC Outdoor Center.

We will meet at the in Calgary meeting point and carpool from there. Please be on time as we will only wait a short while past past the departure time before we leave.

Drive into Canmore, towards the Nordic Center, then continue past the resoivoir/dams until you reach the Goat Creek trailhead parking lot on the right side. This parking lot serves the Ha Ling, Goat Creek, and EEOR trailheads.


You must sign a trip waiver and contact information form to attend this event. The event organizer will have this for you.

    Hi All- I plan on driving up and camping tmrw night as I am doing Mt. Lougheed Sunday - would anyone be interested in camping as well?

      Hi Autumn - this will be the first MeetUp hike/scramble I have done - I'm not sure how my legs will fair. I will however take my tent (in case) - I have no real plans for sun/mon - so I'm open to ideas.
