Moderate Hike - Wind Ridge

A forest walk up Wind Valley followed by an entertaining climb up a grassy ridge to the summit of Wind Ridge.  Ranges from exploration roads to a well-used trail.  Moderately steep sections near the end include one pitch of easy scrambling.

Gas money (5 to 10 dollars)

No jeans, no cotton clothing of any kind!

Gear can be rented at MEC or UofC Outdoor Center.


We will meet at the in Calgary meeting point and carpool from there. Please be on time as we will only wait a short while past past the departure time before we leave.

Take the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy. 1).  At Dead Man's Flat interchange follow signs to Banff Gate Mountain Resort.  At the final bend, turn right into Pigeon Mountain trailhead.
