Easy Splitboarding - Cirque Peak

The west flank of Cirque Peak, above the icefields Parkway, offer excellent skiing. There is enough skiable terrain up here to keep powder enthusiasts busy for weeks. The view across to the Wapta Icefields is superb.

An intro to splitboarding (Skiing or snowshoing/snowboarding is ok too). Practice assembly/disassembly, skinning, and kick turns. AST is not required - we will go over companion rescue before starting. Rating: Easy

Distance: 6km return
Elevation gain: 500m
Max elevation: 2500m
Time: 4-6hrs

A good level of fitness is required as our pace is moderate-fast. Please be realistic about your abilities. You must be able to commit to the entire event.
