En route to Skoki, Deception Pass offers breath-taking scenery. You'll also wander up Boulder Pass and across Ptarmigan Lake to get there. We'll start at the ski-out to Lake Louise, trying not to get run over by the downhillers, sneak around Temple Lodge, and then head off into the wilds. This skier-set track passes through avalanche country, however there is little danger if you stay on the correct trail. Crossing Ptarmigan Lake can be difficult if the wind is blowing.
This is the third in a series of monthly skis that increase in endurance. To be allowed on the trip, you must have accomplished 20km in a single day this season.
A good level of fitness is required as the pace is moderate to fast and the ski is long. Please be realistic about your abilities. You must be able to commit to the entire event.
Note: Location may change, or event may be cancelled depending upon the conditions.
