Difficult XC Ski: Skogan Pass

We're off on a ski to a great view of Kananaskis! Provided the conditions are nice, we'll start at Wedge Pond, and work our way along the easy flat trail to the base of Skogan Pass. At this point, its a fun exercise in practising hill technique. The return offers a quick descent, followed by a nice recuperation ski back to Wedge Pond.

This is the fifth in a series of monthly skis that increase in endurance. To be allowed on the trip, you must have accomplished 20km in a single day this season.

A good level of fitness is required as the pace is moderate to fast and the ski is long. Please be realistic about your abilities. You must be able to commit to the entire event.

Note: Location may change, or event may be cancelled depending upon the conditions.

There's still snow, so we're still going to go (there are a few others with the other group also signed up), but Skogan Pass might not be our destination (sounds like its melting rapidly). There are some options, and we'll discuss them in the parking lot before leaving tomorrow. See you then!

Hi Ahmed, Unless you've accomplished 20km, I'm going to claim this is going to be too difficult.
