For those not aware of it, this coming Friday is the start of the Western equivalent to Ontarios Friday the 13th. See below, which is excerpted from the ALW (Alberta Lone Wolves) notifications. I entered 5 PM as it's referenced in the writeup, but we could go later. Suggested starting place is the Rona parking lot near the gas station @
Everyone has heard of Friday the 13th - Port Dover, Ontario, where every Friday the 13th there is a get together of motorcyclists for the one day. It started out with only 25 or so bikes the first year, 1981, and now attracts thousands. It is one of the biggest events for motorcycles in Eastern Canada.
Western Canada is due for the same event and Alberta has it. It is Friday, September 13th from 5 pm to whenever it is done that night. It should eventually rival Ontario's event. So, rain or shine, ride your motorcycle to Cochrane, Alberta. Just hang out and check out all the cool rides! Everyone welcome!"
This year BIKER TV, part of the CTV National Network, are participating in the event and will highlight Cochrane on the national stage again.
