I think I'll take my non running Triumph Tiger 110 (circa 1957) over any new "rocket" bastardization... the new bonny is cool but I can't stand the rocket

I think memory is better than reality. I used to get the war surplus bikes which were the Harley and Triumph. The Tiger was a ridged frame bike that would step out on non parallel railroad tracks and definitely wake you up if you were not paying attention. Also very bad for seed wobble.

of course new technology beats the old stuff... but sometimes that is part of the fun.
guess I am just not a fan of the car engine in a motorcycle look
