Hike Heart Mountain (Difficult)

There is ~800m of elevation over ~4km so this is steep and exposed. That's 8-10km return. We will have to make our way up a crux as well.

The usual requirements for difficult hiking...good hiking boots, poles, 2L+ of water, lunch....etc.

I think meeting at Shouldice for 8am is best and we can convoy/carpool to the parking lot that is south of Deadmans Flats.

This will be a 6-8 hour hike plus travel time.

I will be driving a Green Ford Escape and park on the north side of the shouldice parking lot. My cell # is[masked]-6562.

It was such a lovely day. Jumping into Quaite creek at the end was a nice finishing touch...but the trip to Peter's for a burger and shake really capped off a gorgeous hike. Thank you for the company Martin! You're welcome in the backcountry with me anytime...but maybe we'll wait until it opens up again :-)

It looks like access to Pigeon is blocked. Heart Mountain is accessible from the roadside turn off...what are your thoughts?
