My plan is to start with Vista Lake, and after that we may decide to check out Smith Lake, or I might decide on a different side trip. The hiking times are on the conservative side. It may take us much less time depending on the group.

What to expect on this Hike:
- Wildflowers
- Mount Whymper

Total Distance: 3 - 4 kilometers (return)

Total Elevation Gain: 120 to 140 meters

Difficulty Level: Easy

Approximate Driving Time: 2 - 2.5 hours one way

Approximate Hiking Time: 2 - 4 hours (return)

Trail Head:
Vista Lake Viewpoint (on the left)
Banff - Windermere Highway (93 South)
About 8km from Castle Junction
- Past the Storm Mountain Lodge (on the right)
- Past the Boom Creek Picnic Area (on the right)

- Wildflowers
- Altrude Creek
- Castle Mountain
- Copper Mountain

Total Distance: 3.6 to 4 kilometers (return)

Total Elevation Gain: 150 meters

Difficulty Level: Easy

Approximate Driving Time: 1.5 - 2 hours one way

Approximate Hiking Time: 2 - 4 hours (return)

Trail Head:
Altrude Creek
Banff - Windermere Highway (93 South)
Just past the Bridge across Highway 1 @ Castle Junction

Brentwood LRT Station Park & Ride
South/West Side (i.e. not the Mall side)

Meeting Time:
7:30am @ Brentwood LRT Station
Yes, I know it's too early to drag yourself out of bed on a Saturday!
The early hiker avoids the traffic, and gets the best parking spots!
Please be on time (7:30am) @ Brentwood LRT Station.
We will wait for 5 minutes max. and then we will head out.

    I would like a ride please! I will check map for Brentwood LRT Stn as have never gone there- I know the mall beside Chapters though! Shouldice is easier for me if it were poss. Á friend and new member Steve, also an avid amateur photographer will let me know later about coming, so there could be 2 passengers. A-OK??
