Photo Walk Around Bridlewood Pond!

Here is where we will meet up at...

I moved the date back a week so we can capture what is left of autumn.  I had scouted out this area on Oct 25th. I found two beavers in the pond and some ducks!  The pond is very scenic.  Not 100% sure where the trail goes from the pond, but we can find out. I suspect that this will take about an hour to do. I will see if I can upload the teaser photos of what I had taken.

Dogs welcome if on leash and obedient! Just remember that some members may be afraid of them. Others are allergic to them and a loose dog can put them in the hospital if they come in contact with them.

Sorry, can't make it. I twisted my left ankle last week and i doubt it's healed enough to make an hour long walk on icy pathways.

Dean, I could not find where James Mckevitt joins with 22X, or where the strip mall is, and the parking between the East/West road is also a mystery. Help!!

As per usual, the map was out to lunch so I set it to the meetup location about midway down the pond at the bridge. The strip mall is on the other side of the street from the pond.

Ther is a set of lights where James Mckevitt meets 22x IF you are traveling west on 22x. Turn right (north) at the lights (turning left takes you into Spruce Meadows). The strip mall is right there with the Bridlewood Vet Clinic, Tom's Pizza House, etc. The pond is directly across the road from it.

Rose.....can you provide more specific directions.... if I exit off Macleod onto James McK. and head south what side roads should I be looking for???

If you take the Jame's Mckevitt exit off of McLeod, just keep driving on it until you get to the lights at 162nd Ave. You'll see the sign for Bridlewood on the corner. Cross through the intersection, get in left lane. You'll pass Bridlewood Rd on your right and the park starts right after that. Drive a bit farther and you'll see the strip mall on the left with the Bridlewood Vet clinic, hair salon, Tom's House of Pizza, etc.

I may have to opt out after the date change if I'm not able to reschedule a 10:00 app't .... alltho' I'd much rather walk with fellow Nature Lovers than visit the podiatrist. lol
