(Note: Your Grand Pooh Bear will be away on vacation for this event.)
Welcome to the nineteenth Tuesday morning walk in 2014 as any new members hooking up with us for the first time! We have started from the west side of the park in Woodbine at the Shannon Terrace parking lot and future events will take us throughout the entire park covering a LOT of ground connecting each segment week after week! You will over time get to see this park like never before especially if you have just recently joined us.
This nineteenth one is a walk following the pathway north for 30 mins or around where the pathway meets Anderson Rd. The group will see if the Sue Higgins bridge that was damaged in the 2013 flood has been repaired. While by the Sue Higgins bridge, keep an eye out for ducks floating down the river and then flying back to the bridge to float down the river again. Interesting to watch if they are around this Tuesday morning!
Walk will be approx. 1 hr.
For those who wish to go for coffee afterwards, there is a Tim Hortons on Bow Bottom Trail and a McDonalds a block away to pick from.
Dogs welcome if on leash and obedient so the members don't get muddy paws on their clothes! Just remember that some members may be afraid of them. Others are allergic to them and a loose dog can put them in the hospital if they come in contact with them.
