This trip offers a primitive wilderness backpacking experience, which will require us to exercise no-trace camping. Breathtaking views of the interior Kananaskis will surround us as we work out way through the park.

Didn't quite go as planned, but still had an enjoyable weekend. Weather was great. It was amazing to see the result of the recent flood. We hiked about 20 km total over the weekend and did a fun little scramble on Saturday. Thanks Will.

I checked the Alberta Parks website that was updated on Thursday and it still shows the roads at both ends of this trip closed...although they seemed inconsisitant with regards to trails they say are open...just scratching my head...

This trip will no longer be a traverse unless Highway 40 opens up past the winter closure in the south end of Kananaskis. Most of the trip will remain the same, except for the last day.
