D3 Eagle Hill – Deer Ridge. Sibbald creek trail.

Elevation gain approximately: 400 m
Distance approximately: 16.5 km return
Time: about 5 – 7 hours on trail
This trip is a moderate hike with several ups and downs so the total elevation gain for the day may be ~600 m . We will be doing a loop starting on Deer Ridge trail then heading to eagle hill and returning on eagle hill trail.
The trail is well known and described internet, please check online for the trail description before you sign up.
From Calgary head west on hwy 1, turn south on Sibbald Creek Trail (Hwy #68). We will be driving in pavement and gravel road. After 10.3 km from the kananaskis country boundary, turn right (north) into a road toward Sibbald Lake Campground. Keep left into the Sibbald lake day-use area.

Trip Waiver and Conditions: You must sign a trip waiver to attend this event If you are not a “paid” member yet. Please read the Rules of Conduct if you have not already.
Note: I will bring waivers on Sunday to fill up before we leave.
Dogs: NOT permitted.
Cost: Members free. Yearly membership fee $20 or $5 for the day. Gas contributions for drivers are expected by all the participants and it will be confirmed and agreed with your carpool driver.
Note: Please indicate in your RSVP comments if you can drive if necessary
- Sturdy Hiking boot (no sandals, no street shoes)
- Dress in layers (no cotton, no jeans): fleece, windbreaker/waterproof jacket.
- Food ans snacks
- At least 2 L of water
- Bring beat spray if you have some
- Hiking poles
- Sunscreen...Yeah!! it is time for it!!
