i have been wanting to ascend mount aylmer however not going to be this time for we will only hike up to the aylmer lookout and enjoy the veiws, lunch and the peace and quiet from there.having said that this area is a bear sancturary so we will need to stay tight together as a group and leave no straggelers behind.ticks are out in full now so we will have to be aware of these little guys.
Our route will follow the edge of Lake Minnewanka for 7.8km, then steeply ascend to the lookout over the next 4km. We will be leaving early to make sure we have ample time for the hike as our pace will be moderate to slow.Do some resaerch for your own and the group for this will be along day outdoors.
