D5 -Saddleback / Fairview Mtn Hike

If you have a Park Pass, bring it along.

Description: Day Hike
Distance: 11 km roundtrip
Roundtrip Time: 5 - 6 hours on trail + 4 hrs driving.
Height gain: 1000m

Mt Fairview is a hike, not a scramble. It is on the south side of Lake Louise and is very popular with capable tourists. Views of Lake Louise, Paradise Valley, and the surrounding glaciers is one of the best in the Canadian Rockies.

Please note you will need to be in good shape to complete this event as the elevation gain is significant.

I might not be able to finish my work today and I might have to work tomorrow as well. I'm dropping out now since there are so many people on the waitlist.

Hi Conrad, bad timing for me this go around. If a similar hike comes up and I'm not having exam conflicts, then I would like to do my best to attend. For future consideration, since I live in Cochrane, would it be convenient to be picked up there rather than me drive into the city?

I have checked the Banff Park Trail report dated July 1st and this trail is reported as good / fair with snowpatches at high elevation, typical for this time of year. We may hike towards Paradise Valley to get a view as well if people want to and time permits. Note that the choice of hikes is limited since June's devastating flood.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
