This is a long day. We hike to Boom Lake. Partway along the right hand shore to an Avi slope, we hike up the slope encountering bolder fields and some bushwhacking. We head to a col. Then along a ridge to the Summit.
This is a moderate scramble. Long day in the mountains, be prepared. An above average level of fitness is required our pace is moderate. Please be realistic about your abilities. Please gauge your abilities appropriately. Organizers are not here to babysit you. I don’t want to “Waste My Time in the Canadian Rockies.”
Bushwhacking and Off-trail: With many of my trips there is a good likelihood of bushwhacking and off-trail and that naturally means some route-finding. I tend to get off the beaten track and try to avoid “tourist” routes. If you want the tourist route, you’re on the wrong trip. You are warned. Don’t be surprised.
Dogs: Not this time.
