Thanks everyone for another very enjoyable day out in the mountains. Thanks to Eldon for providing wisdom and knowledge with bears encounters, we all made the right choice to avoid contact as much as possible. See you all on the next adventure.

Sounds like you had an adventurous day with a bear encounter but the photos say it was sunny with amazing views and reflections to calm things down. Sorry I couldn't make it to this one.

Hey Pam, the bear encounter(s) happened along the shores of Sherbrooke Lake. We got out of Dodge and went to do a variation of Emerald Basin to round out the day. Those sunny reflection pics were taken at Emerald Lake. Amazing views.

Some you have been moved from the Yes list to the Waitlist list. You need to make an online payment of $20 for the 2013 yearly membership, or pay $5 for the day online. Organizers cannot take any money at the trailhead. Once you have proof of payment, I will let you back on the list.
