Shoulder Season Organizers' Meeting (MANDATORY) + Potluck and BBQ

  • Sep 19, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This is a mandatory meeting for CORA organizers ONLY. I will hold it in my new place. Potluck will be appreciated and there will be BBQ (I think).

Here is our agenda:

-- Trip management and safety decisions

-- Planning for Shoulder Season and Avalanche Season

-- The use of first aid kids, spot beacons, and other Society equipment.

-- Individual organizer input, suggestions, and request.

I will send a detailed email outlining the full agenda shortly.

Notice for Members: This is a private meeting and not a CORA event. If you RSVP, I will naturally put you in the "not going" list :)

I may be able to be there by 7:45. Do you think that you will still be going through the items on the agenda by then?

I would also like to know if there will still be anything going on at 7:25-8. My day has gone a little sideways so I won't even be able to get out of the door for another hour.

Thanks for stopping by today but after hearing more about the changes you're proposing I will postpone my thoughts of joining as an organizer. I align more with a safety conscious but still relaxed, inclusive and volunteer model. For me, being compensated, having MANDATORY meetings and creating lots of uniform rules takes away from what makes CORA so awesome. Just my off the trail thoughts though and really appreciate all the time you and the other organizers give from your already busy lives :)

Hi I just joined CORA, I would love to hike with you guys tomorrow, however, I haven't paid my dues. Would it be possible if for me to arrive at K country and follow you guys for the hike? I don't need ride, I just don't want to hike solo though. Please let me know if its ok with you fellows
