Driving: We can arrange car pool at meeting spot or feel free to arrange your own car pool.
*Please note, if we are going to do the tour you must have AST1
A nice close area for a great day of ski touring and turns.
This tour will depend on current avalanche conditions, if forecast is high we will do a tour with no turns and stay out of avalanche terrain.
You must have the following gear:
Alpine Touring gear or Telemark Skis or Snowshoes if on a Snowboard
You can rent gear from MEC or UofC

Visiting the backcounty of the Rocky Mountains requires knowledge and preparation.
You assume certain risks and expect certain hazards when you travel in the high country. Self-guided tour means that you look after yourself once you're there. You should be experienced in backcountry navigation, and be prepared to carry appropriate survival gear. Temperatures in the winter they range from -35°C to +10°C.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are properly equipped with appropriate outdoor clothing and gear, including but not limited to, winter equipment; skins, avalanche beacons, shovels & probes.
