I thought it would be beneficial to have a session about fitness and training for Backcountry travel. A regular fitness routine will improve your time in the backcountry by reducing injury, improving fitness level, improved energy. Don't just be a weekend warrior and grind out the trip. Get in shape when you are not in the backcountry.
Gold's Gym offered to do a information session as follows:
7-7:20 Chat about the benefits of fitness throughout the year, basic nutrition and exercise requirements, take questions
7:20-7:30: 10 minute walk through the gym and go over various types of equipment and the benefits
7:30-7:45: mini workout (intro to a group class)
They will have week passes available as well as sign up sheets for a New Year Boot camp and 1 free personal training assessment passes.
