I enjoy landscape, nature and travel photography mostly. Galapagos, Italy, Alaska, Hawaii are some places. I'm an amateur musician, painter as well. My professional background is as a radio announcer. I live by Fish Creek Provincial Park.
I did a lot of TV camera work before doing stills really, as a Camera person for community Cable TV - I credit that to a lot of my composition roots - but the first interest in Photography would have been when back in the mid 80's when I bought a Minolta slr camera specifically because I was taking a bus trip from Toronto to Edmonton - and I haven't stopped clicking since.
I'd say a quite experienced amateur I wouldn't be surprised if some of my pictures in my collections are marketable, but I do know with more practice and knowledge a much higher percentage of them can be. I have photos from the Galapagos Islands, Turkey, South America, other parts of Europe and enjoy wildlife photos and historic sites. I am always motivated to mix art culture and photography.
To learn much more from other photographers in different environments and with various topics. I am self-taught and still have a lot to learn. I need to use more features of my camera and am very eager to both learn from others, and help others out.
I have a Canon 60D
"I live at Fish Creek Provincial Park at my backdoor great spot for waiting for Deer morning and evenings on my backdeck, they wander by Lol birds, beautiful sunrises often, and great morning mist shots often. I will post some on Flickr. "
Very talented group of photographers. Everyone was pleasant and passionate about the topic.
