***It is extremely important to read the following information. Failing to do so will result in your removal from the trip***
It is the responsibility of the participant to check for any updates, changes or cancellations before the trip. Gear checks will be conducted at the meet up location. Failure to have the required gear will result in the participant not attending the trip. Participants will also need to answer all the questions regarding this trip before I decide who attends.
An automatic waiting list has been created for this trip. CSMC members will have priority over non members on the waiting list (See next paragraph for membership information). Participants will also be selected based on scrambling experience for the selected objective. Participants must be punctual and have a good RSVP history. Which means they do not constantly change their RSVP statuses, are not regularly late and do not back out last minute. To put it simply, I decide who goes on this trip regardless of who signs up first. No shows will be black listed by me.
Make sure that you have paid for a 2013 membership with the CSMC. Payment can be made online through the CSMC page on Meetup or at the meeting location. It is preferred that you pay online before attending and to receive priority over non members. Waivers are mandatory for every trip and can be printed online or filled out at the meeting location. Cost for membership with the CSMC is $20.
Anyone who has a vehicle may be asked to drive for the trip. Please make sure to bring gas money for car pooling. It is recommended that drivers charge a 20 cent per kilometer / $20 every 100 kilometers rate for driving. This can be divided by the number of occupants in the vehicle. For example if the trip is 300 km’s round trip and there are four people in the vehicle. The cost for gas would be $15 per person.
When you arrive to the meet up location. Look for a car with a red flashing LED on top of it. This is to help people find me in the morning.
