Nestled away among towering peaks along the Spray Lakes road, Chester Lake is an easy ski tour, about 8km round trip with 300m elevation gain. The views are great, and there are options to extend the trip once we're there. Depending on conditions and group preference we can continue on to Elephant Rocks or maybe a little further into the lower end of Three Lakes Valley. I'm not expecting any spectacular powder turns on this trip, but it's nice little trail to get those legs back into shape for touring and for relative newcomers to get out into the backcountry...
A1 rating is required, we can do a review and assessment at the start of the trip for anyone who does not yet have it. Particiants are required to have a paid membership to CSMC, membership cost is $20 per year, and can be paid online or at the start of the trip.
