Rummel Ridge; Snowshoe, moderate.

Rummel Ridge. Moderate snowshoe. Height; 2459 m. Elevation gain; 800 m. Round trip distance; 8.5K. Time; 7 to 9 hrs.

This highpoint above Rummel Lake provides an excellent view of Mt Galatea and peaks to the west along Commonwealth and French Creeks. We'll be following Bob Spirko route up the NW ridge. If snow conditions are stable we may continue down towards the Rummel Lake trail. Otherwise we will backtrack. Please study weather and avalanche forecasts before signing up. I am not insisting on avalanche gear as the terrain is simple and we will follow low risk ascent and descent routes.

Please read the gear requirements carefully and bring the required gear.

Thanks Wil for steering us the right across the creek. Definitely kept us in easier terrain. Great way to spend a relaxing Easter Monday. Thanks everyone for coming out and sharing your stories and enthusiasm. Great snow for snowshoeing no isothermal stuff at all.

Work is the curse of the outdoor classes! Pity. Keep your gear ready for the next great trip.
