Climbing After Work at local crag

Climbing at a local crag, likely Heart Cr, Wasootch, Barrier or Grassi.  Trip leader is an RCA so assessments can be done for participants who have not yet had the opportunity to have RC1, RC2 or RC3.

Obviously this event is weather dependant and can be canceled on short notice if the said weather deteriorates... so please check before heading out

*** It is extremely Important that you read the following information carefully and prepare accordingly***

It is the responsibility fo the participant to check for any updates, changes or cancellations before the trip. Gear checks will be conducted at the meet-up location. Failure to have the required gear will result in the participant not attending the trip.

An Automatic waiting list has been created for this trip. Participatants must be punctual and have a good RSVP history. Which means they do not constantly change their RSVP statuses, are not regularly late and do not back out at the last minute.

Membership:

In order to participate in a CSMC trip, you must have paid for a 2014 Membership. Cost for the membership with the CSMC is $20:00. Payment can be made online through the CSMC page on Meetup. Waivers are mandatory for every trip and can be filled out following the link below

https://secure.echosign.com/public/hostedForm?formid=8WUKWK7D6Z2G6M

***It is extremely important to read the following information carefully and prepare accordingly. The CSMC has introduced a competency skill assessment in order to rock climb with the club. Those who haven't been assessed for 2014, will be checked individually once we are at the crag.

This event is open to all levels of ability.. If you are new to climbing in general it can help to take an intro to climbing course at one of the local climbing walls ( but not necessary to participate )

It would be a good idea to bring warm clothing as the weather/sunshine can vary alot.. Please be at Shouldice asap to 5 pm .. it is a 45 min drive to most crags... If you are unable to arrive on time post a note here and meet us at the crag...

Thanks for the responses. From the general desires to have climbs from 5.7 through 5.9 primarily, including leading in this range, we will go to Wasootch.

I am only a beginner, mostly doing[masked] (though I have done 5.9) depends on the crag (slabs or not). But would be nice to have lower-rated (than 5.9s) ones too.

I went with a guide on an intro to leading this past Sunday, as such I would like to try leading some easier routes if there are any in the area. If not I can always top rope and practice Wednesday. Cheers.

I can lead up to a 5.9 and top-rope 5.10/11 depending on the rock.

Please let me know your general climbing 5.x level so I can decide on a destination. I'd like to hit barrier bluffs if people are ok with 5.9 or higher.
