For our last breakfast event of the year and in anticipation of the holiday shopping season, the November theme is sustainable local economies, hosted by Momentum.
We'll be hearing from three experts in community economic development as follows:
• Philip Lozano, Entrepreneurial Support Services Facilitator & Community Economic Development Facilitator at Momentum, will talk about the importance of small business in the role of communities and local economies. He'll share some of the interesting work that is currently being done by Momentum around business development and community economic development.
• Raelene Noti, Skills Training Manager at Momentum, will talk about sustainable economies, collaboration, and resilience. She'll share with us how business, government, Momentum, SAIT and a special group of participants partnered to make a difference through Momentum’s Green Building pre-apprenticeship program.
• Christine Bennett and Heather White, from The City of Calgary's Neighbourhood Services, will tell us about the work that's being done as part of the Strong Neighbourhood Initiative.
Doors open at 7:30 am. Breakfast and networking until 8:00 am. Presentations until 8:45 am followed by Q&A and general announcements.
