Due to the overwhelming popularity of our breakfast events, we are pleased to re-introduce Sustainability for Lunch! Every two months we'll feature a different local business and tour its operations to learn more about its sustainability practices.
In December we'll visit The Apothecary in Inglewood- a destination shoppe for pure, therapeutic essential oils and natural body care. The store features the full line of All Things Jill and Rae Dunphy Aromatics products, along with tea, handmade cards, and other wellness products. The store also features a men’s line which includes ‘Just for Jack’ shave and body products for men. All packaging used in its products is recyclable, and the shoppe is bullfrogpowered with 100% green energy. Their essential oils are sourced directly from growers, and they source fair trade items and support a women’s tribe in Ghana.
You will have a chance to tour the facility, including the behind-the-scenes manufacturing area on the main floor where items such as lip balms, body lotions, skin products, and over 300 essential oils are crafted, bottled and labelled. On the day of the event, all participants will receive 10% off their purchases in-store. A great Christmas gift shopping opportunity!
There is limited parking available at The Apothecary and around the Inglewood area (street parking), and we also encourage taking public transportation, biking or carpooling to the event. Visit Calgary Transit for more information on public transportation.
