I've uploaded a Google Earth 3d satellite screenshot if anyone is curious how far we went yesterday.

Which one do you use? I used my tracks and it's a battery hog

I used an app called Pedometer by Runtastic. I have used their Mountain Biking app and that was a battery hog, but then I also hadn't turned off any of the wireless radios. When I used Pedometer in the mountains I turned off all the wireless radios except for GPS (don't turn on airplay mode) and my battery dropped by about 20% for that hike.

Did this last week, the snow is 1m deep at least almost on the entire trail. You should follow our trail, unless you want to have fun breaking a new one. Up to the cairn it was about 7h return for us. With the warm weather tomorrow, expect to sink a lot.

This would be fun. I did it last weekend and microspikes are definitely needed. Pretty much bare, except 1-2 little sections where breaking trail without snowshoes was a good workout

I looked up from highway for snow condition but really wasn't sure about it. Thanks Pavneet for the update.
