The purpose of this is for each person to end up with a variety of dainties to serve to your Christmastime guests that pop by, without having to bake 6 different things. In my experience any more than 6 people and it gets to be too much baking, which can really put a damper on the fun. Since this meetup is planned for a Sunday evening it will give you all weekend to bake, if you're going to wait until the last possible minute, like me.
*Each person will bake 6 dozen squares (or just 5 dozen if you don't want to keep any for yourself). Each person will get 1 dozen of the others squares leaving you with 5 different varieties that you didn't have to bake.
*This exchange is for squares, not cookies. They should be something that we don't normally have throughout the year (eg., no rice krispie squares or puffed wheat). Please keep the squares approximately 1.5" x 1.5"
*Bring your squares in a large tupperware container, which you will also use to take home your treats.
*Bring 5 copies of the recipe in case the others want to re-create your treats and in case we have to check for allergies.
*We'll exchange treats at my house over hot chocolate and snacks. I will email everyone the address once we are confirmed, but I am in Charleswood (NW) in case you need to know for planning.
*Since this meetup requires much planning for all of the attendees, please don't sign up if you are less than 100% sure that you are going to make it.
