Are the characters for the Wednesday meetup prefab? I can't seem to find any rules in the forum for character generation.

Darn it I'm not going to be able to make it after all, my apologies.

It's okay. There's always another week.

It would be nice to start closer to six and have a regular DM. I also have a hard time hearing the DM most times because the room is so noisy.

I understand your grievances and apologize for being in poor shape to address them last night. A regular (and until now, reliable) DM was arranged for your table. It makes me hope he's okay. For now, I'll take over for the next 3 weeks of the season if I haven't heard from him.

As for noise, my recommendation is to have the DM run from the centre of the table. I prefer that position in most games I run, as every player is closer to you from there.

I have a few other ideas for getting play started sooner, but we're still aiming for 6:30. For one, character creation or levelling needs to be completed by then. (I know it's no fun to be sidelined on the first night, but several players arrive by 5, most of whom are willing to help you get set up. Making them wait for a last minute arrival to get set up is no fun for them either.)

DMs also should not be involved in character creation after 6, 6:15 at the latest, unles they've already set up for the session. Others may not have this problem, but it's a rule I'll have to set for myself.

Last week John was DM for my table. This week Big Bang Theory aired a D&D episode that encapsulated how I felt. I am to Sheldon as John is to Wolowitz. Enjoy! lol

Thank you very much for sharing that. Looking forward to the episode now.

Question: I'm online, levelling up, and I have enough gold for a new shield. Do I need to wait until we get an opportunity to purchase an item in the storyline or can I buy it? (I've gone ahead and bought it and equipped it as it gives the same AC boost as my light shield. I just won't use the daily it gives until I can "buy" it in the game if those are the rules.)
Also, how do the item levels work? When I'm online looking I only peruse the items of my level and lower but I received a magic item in the game that is higher than my level. (It is 6 and I am 5). What are the rules where purchasing and looting are concerned?

Since you'll get an extended rest before the start of the next session, assume you'll have time to purchase new equipment. I'm not sure there will be the same oportunity in later sessions.

As I understand it, most are prefab and free.
    For generating your own pc,
