WHAT:

Come join us in Prince's Island Park to watch Theatre Calgary, in partnership with Mount Royal university, put on Shakespear's "The Comedy of Errors" in a beautiful outdoor setting.

http://theatrecalgary.com/plays/sbtb/more_info/

WHERE:

“Prince’s Island Park is nestled on the south side of the Bow River just north of downtown Calgary. There are three footbridges leading onto the island. The main access is the Jaipur Bridge from the Eau ClaireMarket area at 3rd Street SW. There is also a bridge at the east end of the island accessible from 6th Street SW, and a third on the north side of the island crossing the Bow River and Memorial Drive at the Calgary Curling Club. Once on the island, look for the Shakespeare by the Bow ‘cabin’ and additional signage.”

Meet/ Find Us:

If you RSVP and want my cellphone number, I can give it out closer to the event. I will have 1-2 blankets for the group to sit on. I will be standing up watching for people at 6:30pm. Performance starts at 7pm.

COST:

DSN $1 + your donation

“Admission is pay-what-you-will at each performance. The suggested donation is $20 CASH per adult. However, you may decide your own donation amount. All funds go towards the Shakespeare by the Bow program providing mentorship and support for Alberta’s emerging theatre artists. “

I'll be there at 6:30. The performance starts at 7pm. Here is what I posted on the site around the location:

Hi just wondering were in Eau Claire are you meeting ? This is my first meet up with the group

    June 30

  • David R

Just a note about the 'address' for the Park - 200 Barclay Parade is in Eau Claire; from here you walk north & across the bridge onto the island. There will be signs to direct you to the stage area.
***The MAP pointer is approximately correct, when you click on the venue.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
