** This is an Outdoor event so it is weather dependent
The Calgary Highland Games is one of the premier Highland Games in Western Canada. Started in 1913, it is one of the oldest gatherings in North America. This year the CHG are celebrating 100 years, and takes place out at Springbank Park. It involves great entertainment like piping bands, highland dancing, stock dog trial demonstration, a Viking massed battle, plus an open tug o’ war competition. There are also heavy events like stone, hammer and caber toss! And of course food, fun and things to buy.
You are welcome to leave when you want. I am planning to stay for a good portion of the day (until 3:30 - 4pm).
Meet at the *69 st* Ctrain station at 9:30am. We will all meet and catch the free shuttle out to Springbank Park where the event is located.
