20/20 Meeting with Councilman Pendergrass

Those of you interested in riding 20/20 properties, please come to the meeting in Friday, March 29,[masked]:30 AM-10:30 AM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).

Where: 1st floor conference room - County Adminstration Building 2115 Second St. Downtown Fort Myers.

Equestrians have been given the chance to voice reasons to open more properties in the south end of the county for riding. We have been given 25 spots. To RSVP one, please call Molly Shweers at (239)[masked]
I realize this conflicts with our trail work day and if no one from the club can represent us I will send my husband there instead of helping at the park. Please RSVP on Meetup as well so I know who can attend or email me at [masked]

Meeting was very positive! About 25 riders were there, and it was a great exchange of information. In addition to sharing our feelings about increasing horse trails on Conservation 20/20 property, we learned about the status of new preserves. Councilman Pendergrass clarified our budgeting concerns and assured us that the commissioners were not dipping into Conservation 20/20 monies. Further, he committed to support Conservation 20/20 and our equestrian activities.

Glad you can go Mary because now my other half cannot. You may want to review the properties 20/20 holds on their website. The ones I am most interested in for new access is Wild Turkey Strand and Imperial Marsh. There are other areas you may think are 20/20 that are actually not.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
