Book Choices for December 2010

From: Elizabeth I.
Sent on: Sunday, November 14, 2010 10:16 AM
Hi All,

I realize that I have been delinquent in sending out the the book choices for next month and our meeting is this Wednesday!

Please email your vote if you will not be attending on Wednesday.

The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeanette Walls ( 304 Pages)

Whatever it Takes: Geoffrey Canada's Quest to Change Harlem and America by Paul Tough (336 Pages)

A Land as God Made it: Jamestown and the Birth of America by James Horn (352 pages) A very compelling account of the founding of America told in story-like fashion. History as we wish it were taught to us in school.

George Washington's False Teeth: An Unconventional Guide to the Eighteenth Century (224 Pages) A fun way to counter some of the legends and assumptions of the French Enlightenment, in particular underground culture.

See you on Wednesday!

Also, I am thinking it is time to move our meet up to a different location. If anyone has any ideas please let me know and we will discuss at Wednesdays meeting.
