I always found I got a lot more out of the Metta Bharvana meditation than the Mindfulness of breathing meditation and would go as far as to say it changed my life immeasurably:-)
At some point I will probably loop back and revisit doing Metta Bharvana on a daily basis as I enjoy the openness and feeling of connection with others that it brings.
I have been meditating since I was 18 and have over the years practiced a number of different types and styles of meditation. I have been going to The Cambridge Buddhist Centre for around 10 years although not very actively in recent years.
