Quiz Night

Hello everyone

November has been a very busy month for Cambridge with many events including Silicon Valley comes to UK (SVC2UK) and the start of the Enterprise Tuesday lectures.

We have tried to keep it a little quiet here at CGC to ensure our members who like to benefit from other local events won't have to choose between two conflicting interests and to let everyone also get ready for the winter! :)

However, it is time to break the November silence.

So to give you all an idea of what is coming up let me start with the Quiz night which was announced by Games Eden. Games Eden runs a annual XMas Quiz Night and invites games developers from around Cambridge to attend. This is a chance to socialise a bit and if you don't work for one of the larger local game companies then a chance to meet developers from these local companies. This year it will be held on the 7th of Dec and the way to attend is to form teams of 4 to 5 people. If we, as CGC members, form one or more teams then I am glad to submit the teams and names to Games Eden. So please contact and let us know if you like to join and we will keep you informed. Alternatively you can reply to this thread started by Clare Denham - but I need to warn you that might end up in chaos so I prefer the first option.

As with other activities before the end of the year, CGC's last event this year (accidentally just the night before on the 6th Dec) is going to be held at the Anglia Ruskin University along with ARU's students and lecturers. I will be posting the details as a new event before the end of the week. So keep an eye on our mails.

Last but not the least, we are expecting one of the larger publishers to do a special speaker session for CGC members and if they are not too late to confirm (which was the case with our Marmalade event) then it will happen this year. I will also keep you informed of this once things are more clear.

Thank you for following CGC.
