A group for anyone interested in exploring Big Questions over a cup of coffee or a pint - rationally and passionately. This Meetup is an electronic noticeboard of the Cambridge Humanist Group. The CHG  has been debating and socializing locally for many years.

The Cambridge Humanist Group is a welcoming and diverse community of atheists and secularists. We are committed to good company and a good life without religion. We stand up for the right of non-believers to be free from imposition by religious views and organisations.

We run Sunday coffee mornings at CB2 Bistro, hold a pub social at a central Cambridge venue on most 1st Thursdays of the month, hold discussions and various social events throughout the year.

All of the events posted on this Meetup site are open to non-members/ interested parties. Our Culture Club, Summer BBQ and Christmas Party and other events hosted by individual members at their homes are open to current fellow-members of the CHG only. A membership form is available from committee members at the Sunday coffee morning.

If you are non-religious and looking for interesting debates and like-minded people, why not come along?

'Try before You buy' - If you decide to join the CHG, your annual membership fee will help us rent venues for our talks and support our campaigns and events. For less than the cost of 2 cinema tickets a year you can make a valuable contribution to the cause of free thought and debate in Cambridge (concessions for the unwaged and standing orders).
