CMAG: The Story of SwiftKey

The Story of SwiftKey - business and technical lessons learned in building a Number 1 Android App

This month we'll be hearing from the folk at TouchType whose flagship app SwiftKey won 'Most Innovative App' at the GSMAs in Barcelona - a grand achievement for a Cambridge-inspired product!

We're pleased to have been offered sponsorship support for this meetup from Red GateMuir Howard and Broadcom.  As such, in addition to complimentary drinks at the bar we are also arranging some buffet food with a selection of flatbreads, cheeses & meats!

The SwiftKey X Keyboard makes typing much easier on your phone, replacing your touchscreen keyboard with one powered by smarter natural language technology.

Note the change in usual time of month - this is on Thursday 12th April.  The start time is unchanged (people arrive from 7, and the meetup formally starts at 7:30).  Make sure you RSVP early to avoid disappointment!

Thanks to sponsors, SwiftKey and Tony for hosting the event - uber-informative for a first time meetup-er!

Here is a writeup of the main take-home points for anyone who missed it http://t.co/D1mYtsoA

Great talk from the guys at SwiftKey, always interesting to hear the stories and challenges faced from those running successful technology companies.
