Given the continuing difficult events in Boston, we'll give the Tonglen meditation another go. This involves being conscious of suffering in the community as you breathe in and feeling love and compassion as you breath out. Here is another article on the practice
We'll have a discussion afterward. Last week, we abbreviated the meeting in order to attend the candelight vigil in Harvard Yard for those affected by violence at the marathon. This week, we expect to spend the full 90 minutes in meditation and discussion, and also continue the conversation over food and drinks afterward.
