No introduction yet
It was nice to meet you at the Green Tea Restaurant last Friday. I was that girl that is interested in the Tao meetings, so if you could pass on any info regarding that, it'd be great!! My email is [masked]---hopefully I'll hear from you soon!
Hi there! Sorry about the car, that is annoying! That has happened to me before too; at least it's easy to rectify. Anyway, let me know if you plan to come on a regular basis for the Tao te Ching, on every other Saturday at 3pm. I am trying to confirm with people individually, and then i can make a decision. Let me know! Thanks, Dalia.
I am a little disappointed, but hey, this gives me an opportunity to practice the first verse of the Tao! :) So I am going to go with the flow and just see what happens. I am happy to reschedule the meet-up if the group wants me to! I will wait to hear from all of you--just let me know what you decide to do! (just let me know if you will be attending the meet-ups on the Tao or not, picking up where we left off in two weeks, or not) Thanks! have a nice night--Dalia. :)
I guess I don't understand why everyone was all set a few weeks ago, and happy to get started, and then now nobody showed up. Also, I didn't know it took you one hour to get to Revere, but if the location wasn't going to work out for you, why didn't you bring that up before?? We could have discussed switching locations or something, if you were serious about coming and being a part of this thing. Why wait till today to mention that the location is no good? Anyway, I am just thinking out loud!
if you will be continuing with this group or not? A few weeks ago I had an enthusiastic group of people who were excited to start studying the Tao te Ching! What happened? We agreed on location and that Saturdays were the best day to meet (I made sure everyone could make it --which is why we met TODAY instead of two weeks ago, because you had a conflict two weeks ago, and Christina had a conflict last Saturday!) and then today comes, and no one shows up except Afsoun! :)
then that is both inconsiderate especially if they have RSVPd "yes" and also it is unproductive. Don't you agree? I mean, if we are committed to covering this amazing text, then let's do it! I am committed obviously or I wouldn't be holding these meet-ups. But if people are not ready to commit to this course that we decided on a few weeks ago, then I guess I should just cancel the Tao for now. I am not sure. I will wait to hear from Christina and Dale. In the meantime, can you let me know
It is also not cool that some people RSVPd YES and then just didn't show up. I am waiting to hear from Christina, as she had e-mailed me a week ago and told me she was coming and bringing her husband, Patty and Johnny with her. But they were a no-show as well. If it were me and Afsoun, you, and Christina and her family/friends, that would be 7 people total which is PERFECT for a group of this nature! And if Dale comes next time that would be 8 people, also perfect. But if no one shows up,
Hi Fred! I see you decided against coming today--thank you for e-mailing me earlier and letting me know! well, actually I wasn't 100% clear on what you were going to end up doing, but I suspected you were not going to come. None of the others showed up either, except for my good friend Afsoun. She and I ended up going out for coffee and had a great time! But regarding our study of the Tao, I am not sure how to proceed. It is a waste of my time to hold meet ups and then people are not committed.
