Hey guys, are we still looking for a location for this meetup?

    April 7, 2014

    • Justin D.

Yes :) We always have the Bitcoin-accepting pubs as backup, but they are a little noisy.

A talk on alternatives to Cryptsy for trading altcoins (including to/from BTC) would be interesting. If anyone wanted to give a talk on it, some discussion ideas could include: Are there any alternatives with the variety of altcoins on offer? If cryptsy is so 'bad', why don't we make a better exchange? Will decentralized exchanges make cryptsy (and every other centralized exchange) irrelevant, thus solving the problem?

Don, we should have a chat about this, would be interested to here your thoughts on what's needed. I *should* be there on the 9th.

    • Michael M. has become quite a good exchange and reliable with some resilience. I've been using it quite a lot for Blackcoin and LTC/BTC trading....however, there needs to be more options. Coinfloor in the UK is a good start and one I've signed up with....

I can do a short talk on marketing cryptos in Cambridge and/or how to make Cambridge a global center of crypto innovation. Let me know if anyone is interested.
