HEADLINERS: Look Lively
Look Lively are formerly known as Strange Loop (if that even matters!) are a rock covers band from west london formed in 2009 by myself Stuart Hare (drums) and Ross Watson (bass).Playing various pubs/clubs and summer beer festivals covering all the typical pubby faves from the stones, foo fighters and the Beatles, to quirky heavy renditions of pop numbers from the likes of Jessie J and Lady GaGa (think poker face turned up to 11!) being well known for pulling punters (often the ones that seem the most drunk) to join in with the band using donated handheld instruments! After a small break the band recently acquired 2 new members in Aleph Aguiar (guitar) and lead vocalist Stewart Ryan, both instantly proving their worth of showmanship and class performing live.A fun laid back band who not only know how to have a good laugh, but also how to MAKE you have one too.
British born artist, producer and songwriter Strike (which stands for Strive To Revel In Kind Emotions) moved to the Big Smoke on a pursuit to find a better class of sound and performance from himself in order to stand out amongst the sea of talent Britain has to offer.
As he raps and plays his keyboard the broken rhythm, captivating depth of lyricism and flow holds the attention and pushes movement and energy into audiences. His sound contains mixes of house and hip-hop with an old school vibe presented in a new school way. This sound has been described as both UK but capable of crossing on to other boarders and genres…
Representing a culture that likes its music real, Rozii Chaos is a young lady with an appetite to move the boundary between ROCK & POP. Alive and full of energy, backed by instruments plugged into classic amplifiers, she sets pulses racing. You find powerful themes and listenable melodies and a music roller coaster to challenge your world.
Based in the UK, Rozii grew up with a background in classical piano and formal choir. But from an early age her passion was singing and playing guitar. As part of the many lineups of `Made in China`, she crafted her edgy style and mastered every aspect of her live performance. Moving to solo performances and building on classic 70`s American and British rock she gained the freedom to focus more on her own vibe. Taking charge of her songwriting and creating a distinctive edge it was easy to become associated with female Rock artists from the past. However, for those who take the time, they realise, that she has gone so much further in an area that has been under represented for many years. MOON first formed in Perth, Australia when a couple of travelling Englishmen (drummer Dean and guitarist Julian) crossed paths with Australian guitarist Matt lost in the musical wilderness. Following an EP release and a number of big Australian shows, the band decided to head for the homeland in search of adventure. Now based in the UK and welcoming bassist Bobby to the lineup, MOON are unleashing their psychedelic blues sound which harks to luminaries such as Pink Floyd, The Doors and Radiohead. The band are set to cement their place on the London gigging circuit this year, with single releases and gigs/festivals planned throughout 2013 and beyond.
Hackney band Sticky Blood play punked up blues music with a shit load of energy, emotion and enthusiasm. Vocalist/guitarist Andrew Bradshaw is backed up by Dan Graham - drums, Bill Richards - bass and Windy - lead guitar. The band got together in the winter months of 2012 and have been writing and rehearsing ever since. With a well crafted set of their very best tunes and poised to release their first EP in May the band are looking for their first shows together as Sticky Blood.
