Saturday Games

Ok, trying a different library, but not a totally unfamiliar one. Years ago, this is where the rare Saturday meetups occurred. I personally liked this space better than the downtown branch, as there is a little more space, and as I recall, the temperature was always pleasant.

Food will not be as close as with the downtown branch (no Bib's right across the street). However, there are several eating establishments within a few minutes drive, and I will look for delivery places and have those menus available. Of course, with this location, everyone is free to bring their own lunch, if they wish. Also, we might consider bringing snacks to share. I will provide a cooler of drinks/bottled water.

I hope to see everyone there.

The games we play are much different than the board games you played growing up. Some of them will give your brain a very satisfying workout due to the high level of strategy and low amount of luck. Others are totally dripping with theme (pirates, zombies, monsters, etc) that involve more luck and direct player conflict.

We have a growing collection of games on hand, but if you have a new (or old) boardgame you think fits the bill, by all means bring it along (as long as you'll teach us)!

So... let's have some fun rolling dice, placing tiles, or drawing cards - and enjoy some face-to-face interaction! It really isn't about whether you win or lose (at least not entirely). It is about having a great evening, trying to win some of the time, and always playing better the next time! smile

Just to be clear: we don't play Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Uno, Yahtzee, etc. Please see our  About Us page for more information on the types of games we play.

Enjoy the beach Brittany, and congratulations on the anniversary. Is there anything I especially want to play? Hmm. Not that comes to mind. I'd jump in on that Multiverse game.

Jerry's plans changed and we are both able to attend. We are bringing Sentinels of the Multiverse, a cooperative superhero card game. It plays up to 5.
