If you have not seen the posting on the message board, March 30th has been named International Table Top Day. The idea is to encourage people to play board games. Camel City Gamers will be attempting to organize an event in partnership with Meridae Games (Doug's game company). This event will hopefully expose the larger community to the types of games we play. This will be in addition to our regular meetups. This Saturday is not one of our regular meet up days.
We are just in the beginning stages. Doug has some ideas about location, so he will be handling that aspect. This email is asking for firm commitments from anyone in the group interested in making this happen. One of the biggest needs will be plenty of members who can greet members of the larger community, as well as help teach games.
Though this idea came as a surprise to me, I think it has merit. I hope a lot of us will be able to participate. There will be plenty to do in the planning as well. It will be very helpful that if you respond that you are interested, if you would also indicated what you would be interested in doing.
I would like to have a meeting of those interested the first part of next week.
Thank you all,
