Dumont Sand Dunes ~ New Years Weekend *NO Host Event*

Since New Years falls in the middle of the week this year, the official holiday for Dumont is the weekend before New Years, so you can be back home to enjoy partaking in the festivities of in town parties.

Comp Hill is wall to wall entertainment both day and night!

Since we are vendors during the holiday weekends, we won't be camping out in the main camp area, but you can always make camp arrangements with others who maybe going.

Be sure to stop by our GTP Off Road booth at Vender Row, and do a meet and greet with us.

Information on passes and cost:

Annual Pass including holidays $120

Annual Pass NON holiday, not valid over week long periods of Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Year's, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and President's Day = $90

Weekly Pass including holidays (those mentioned above) $40

Weekly Pass NON holiday $30

Most of the local ATV shops will be carrying the passes or you can purchase them direct from BLM at the number below. You can also get one on entry at the vending type machines, but they take credit cards only.

Barstow BLM office (760)[masked]

Their info is always listed on the Dumont Info page

Hope to see you in the sand.

I will be camped out just dune side of Restroom #6. I am not sure how many will be attending in my group, could be just my camper and 3 machines or upwards of 10 machines total. Others are welcome to join. I will be there from Thurs Dec 26th thru Sunday Dec 29th. Can't miss the 41' Fuzion!!

We will actually be out there Dec 23 - Jan 1st! Hope we can catch some rides and/or meet some of the others going that we haven't met yet.

We will be there! We are actually going both weekends. This Sat, Dec 21 thru Wed, Dec 25. Then again Sat, Dec 28 thru Wed, Jan 1. If anyone wants to meet up for camping, let us know and we'd be happy to. We have crappy AT&T (no service once we get there) so we definitely need to make arrangements ahead of time :)

What is the purpose of a "No Host Event"? That's like posting a meetup to remind yourself to go to the grocery store.

Because of the rules of EVENTS at Dumont, you would actually need to get and pay for a permit to host any form of event at Dumont. Hence a "no host event" Also we will not be camped out in the main camping area, while I would love to have many people camped with us and meet everyone, as we did the beginning of Oct, the rules of Vendor Row do not allow for "camping" You could join us at Vendor Row, but we would have to put you to work ;) The purpose of posting this event as any event on meet-up is to get people together that have the same interest. Maybe someone going has a place in their camp to stay, that is why I put in the description "you can always make camp arrangements with others who maybe going." I hope that answers your question, the main reason is getting and paying for a permit.
